Weekly Objectives:
Week 1: By the end of the first week, the student will be able to differentiate between a complete sentence and a fragment and write three complete thoughts.
Week 2: By the end of the second week, the student will be able to write declarative and interrogative statements using the correct punctuation.
Week 3: By the end of the third week, the student will be able to write exclamatory and imperative statements using the correct punctuation.
Week 4: By the end of the fourth week, the student will be able to use singular and plural nouns, as well as common and proper nouns, in the subject of a complete sentence.
Week 5: By the end of the fifth week, the student will be able to correctly capitalize words both individually and within sentences.
Week 6: By the end of the sixth week, the student will be able make common subjects and verbs agree.
Week 7: By the end of the seventh week, the student will be able to make special case subjects agree with verbs (examples: anyone; everyone; all).
Week 8: By the end of the eighth week, the student will be able to write correctly punctuated complete sentences, correctly capitalize words, and make all subjects and verbs agree. They will demonstrate this ability through analyzing and correcting already created material and writing and proofreading sentences of their own.
